AM-K is a white aluminum oxide stone of medium hardness that performs well on all types of mold steel. Generally, it is used dry for rough forming and removal of machine marks. Lubricants are used for finer grits. Some polishers use the 400 and 600 grits for finishing plastic molds and blow molds.
